# The Candidate’s Journey

The candidate will not need to download an app in order to perform their check- they will receive a login link to an online portal, which they can access through their mobile, laptop or desktop. 

Their process is straightforward- they will be asked to provide the following:

- Initial consent (highlighting their commitment to provide accurate information)
- Relevant personal details, including any known aliases or previous names.
- Their right to work and identity information
- Documents essential to their job eligibility (Such as an SIA licence)
- Their activities for the last five years
- Their addresses for the last five years
- Any disclosures they may wish to make ahead of submission
- Final consent (that explains how their data is processed)

If they have previously existed and this is a Passported candidate, they will be asked to provide only new and relevant information, unless they are performing a different check type.
